A few days in Pinetop

Last week we headed up to Mamama & Papa's cabin in Pinetop to get to some cooler weather and play with cousins. We were all ready to go Saturday morning and your mom called us late Friday night to tell us you were at the emergency room with croup. You were not breathing very well and your mom and dad wanted to get you some help. The doctors gave you medicine and watched and made sure you were doing better for the next couple hours and sent you home to get better! Your mom and dad spent the next couple days giving you steam showers and keeping the humidifier filled and holding you and watching over you. We were adding our faith and prayers to them and to you. I'm so thankful you started feeling much better! You still had a leftover little cough, but no longer the croup! So you and your mom drove back to Pinetop with me on Wednesday morning! (I had come home for a school board meeting tuesday night.) We had so much fun in Pinetop at the cabin. We went on walks and you sat in the swing, and we wrestled and loved and played with you. You loved it! But you didn't like to sleep very much! Your mom was exhausted by the time we headed home on Saturday morning! You can do so many things Tavoi. You can sit up by yourself! You eat food- sweet potatoes, peas, apricots, applesauce, really any baby food and rice cereal or oatmeal and teething crackers and pizza crusts- but you DO NOT LIKE bananas! You can roll over both ways, and back to tummy, and are getting ready to scoot and move! You like to sing when people are singing! When I see you and say "Hiiiiiii" you repeat it back to me. You are starting to like "Peek a boo!" and you like to read books and help turn the pages and eat them! You made Sis. Wood's day yesterday. At her setting apart as a sister missionary- you saw her and started waving to her! You did this to her Saturday as we dropped you off at your house after our drive home from Pinetop! you know how to wave and you know how to make people around you happy! You have started to notice the dogs at our house (Mandy and Mille). Oh how you want to grab them and squeeze them. They are not so interested!!! But sometimes we can get Mandy to come sit by you and let you pet her. We help you practice petting her "soft" "soft" "soft"... you love it! and we love you!
