Dear Tavoi,
Today was your blessing day! You had family gathered from here and California and even your uncle Vaunga from Mississippi to love and support you and your mom and dad. Your HoChing uncles, HoChing Grandpa and great grandpa, your Papa Coons, Pops, and McKay & James Anderson all gathered in the circle of Melchizedek Priesthood holders with your Dad as he offered a beautiful name and blessing. Here were a few things I remember from the blessing:
You dad blessed you to know that you are a son of God and that you mind would be prepared and ready to receive, understand, and act upon inspiration and revelation from the Spirit.
He blessed you to have the ability to lead by example and by teaching and by faith.
He blessed you to know and understand the love of your parents and grandparents and family.
He blessed you with a humble heart- to ask for help and seek guidance and better understanding in spiritual and intellectual things you will learn.
He blessed your physical body to grow and be strong and capable to accomplish what you would need to and want to.
He blessed you to be a light and a beacon to those around you, your family, friends and strangers- and that you would have the ability to help them to come to Christ.
He blessed you that you would be a strong missionary, a faithful husband, a faithful father, and that you would have continued faith in the Savior through your live.
It was a beautiful blessing and a great day.
